Since March 2014 there is the Support Document for the Basic Document DB-SUA Safety of use and accessibility Technical Building Code DA DB-SUA / 3 that establishes the Alternative Method of “dry test” with the Pendulum for dry interior areas.
4. Alternative method in dry interior areas. As an alternative solution, it is accepted that the risk of slipping in dry areas is adequately limited if the soil tested following the dry procedure described below has an Rd value greater than 40 for surfaces with a slope less than 6% and greater than 65 for surfaces with a slope equal to or greater than 6% and stairs
In turn, it establishes a classification of “soils that are considered safe” if they have been tested with other standards: for example:
* Soils classified as R11 according to DIN 51130 Ramp
* Soils classified as Class B according to DIN 51097 Ramp
Our Laboratory carries out all the tests included in the new Basic Document Support Document DB-SUA Safety of use and accessibility.
5. Soils that are considered safe The following floors are considered to be properly imitating the risk of falling due to slipping, so they can be used in any area of the building without the need to carry out the test as long as their exposed face is not modified with a subsequent treatment (for example: polished, polished , etc.)
